What we are doing now

 

Hello and thank you for visiting our website!

We are busy prepping for our 2024 season, the 2024 schedule is now available, as are our AGM minutes and show dates. We are slowly getting everything else together and will update when we can! 

​

Classes are £8 for non members, or £6 for members with membership at £15 per person which includes your presentation evening ticket. Membership closes in July 2024 for the 2024 season. 

​

Although we have had our AGM, we do always welcome feedback throughout the year, so don't hesitate to get in touch if you have something to share. 

​

The showground is in Swillington which has lovely flat showing rings, a large showing jumping arena, plenty of parking and a separate SJ and showing warm up area.

Where we began and what we are about 

We are a small friendly local show established in 1976. We currently hold five events a year between May and September, the August show being a fundraiser for local charities. There is something for everyone at our shows from a new beginner to the more advanced rider. We have in-hand and ridden classes as well as show jumping, Lead Rein and Novice classes. Each show has an in-hand and ridden championship split across Juniors and Seniors. Our Annual Show, held in September, is sponsored by various local businesses and the winner of each class is presented with a perpetual trophy and the highest placed member receives a prize too! Our members accrue points over the course of the season and the rider* with the most points per class at the end of the year is also presented with a perpetual trophy. On our website you will find our schedule, membership forms and pre entry forms however if there is anything else you would like or if you have any questions please contact us and we will be more than happy to help.

 

*please note that points are accrued as a rider and horse combination. If you would like any further details please see our rules page or ask a member of the committee.
